Route Description

Coast and Hills
This is the most beautiful women’s ride in the country!

Both intermediate and seasoned cyclists will enjoy this scenic combination of meandering coastline and hills. Departing together from Torrey Pines High School, riders will wind along historic 101 through quaint beach towns such as Solana Beach and Cardiff-By-the-Sea to the turnaround point in Carlsbad. The 40 mile coast route is designed with beauty and simplicity in mind, but there are some sustained hills for 1400′ feet of coastal climbing, so be sure to train accordingly.

The 62 mile course is unique in that more experienced riders can enjoy the company of their friends participating in the 40 mile route – until about mile 25 where the long course riders turn inland and face 2800′ feet of climbing in the rugged and picturesque hills of San Diego.
